He'll definitely add extra depth and competition to the Barrow squad. Should work out well for Barrow AND Wigan.

He'll be in the squad for the big derby vs Whitehaven

Great news for Lee and for Wigan.

I've no doubt that Mossop will eventually have a regular first team spot within the future Wigan side and he has a great opportunity to gain some experience playing at a higher level than the reserves.

we have just lost one prop for at least 6 weeks so we go and loan a 2nd rower out on loan who could have pushed up to prop bad descion i would say.

That's a really good move for all parties. I'm sure he will do well for Barrow.

Goulding and flanagan were also offered but both players turned down the loan move to barrow due to logistics.

Mossop is a cumbrian so this works well for all.

Great news for both clubs and the player. He's way too good for the reserve grade, most admit I'll miss watching him in the accadamy but hopefully he'll be pushing for a first team place next year

Good move, hopefully a couple of other players can follow the lead.

Personally I think this is an excellent strategy.

I have it on pretty good authority that the days are over when loan moves were a preliminary to selling off youngsters. The club are eager for the elite youngsters to gain regular first team experience. And, as Barrrow showed, they and their rivals can not be written off as an inferior breed. Mossop will get good hard rugby playing up there.

It's odd that Goulding hasn't taken his opportunity, especially as we've just signed another centre in Gleeson. But if it signifies that he wants to fight for his place, then maybe that's a good sign too.

A great move for the lad and the club. He will get some much needed first team experience at Barrow and will be playing in a good side.

I'd also like to see Goulding, Flanagan, Farrell etc go out on loan to further thier careers with a view to us bringing them back into the first team picture.
