The Battle of Thermopylae resurrected in the form of a rugby league final today as a brave New Zealand side struggled against the Persian-esque Australian side. Despite all the odds New Zealand had to over come to be even on the level playing field of the Australians, it was a Kiwi win. Most put this amazing feat down to the Leonidas like leadership from New Zealand Captain Benji Marshall who had an inspirational game side stepping an Australian defence that is renowned world wide as rugby leagues very own Korean Demilitarized Zone.

Best game I've seen for years had it all, massive hits and total defence with the skill to execute at the right time. I don't think their was a poor forward on the field they all gave their best.
