A group called the northwest infidels[some English defense league splinter group are doing a march

I have been working with the police today arrange security arrangements the group are meeting at the ellesmere pub at 11 o clock and looking to march over the bridge at 1 o clock to march into leigh town centre and make some statements at the town hall,now the uaf[unite against facist are planning a counter demo and we all know what tends to happen when these two groups meet

Just thought people need a heads up to give the area a miss


Hopefully it will pass without incident

If not why are they being allowed to march in Leigh?

Never thought I'd see the day where I'll have a quieter time going to a Burnley-Bolton game than if I'd stayed in Leigh.

Are they meeting in the centurion pub, if so who's arranged this. I'm sure the club don't need this sort of publicity and should make it known to who runs the pub.

Nothing to do with Leigh Centurions what goes on in town centre pubs. Our club Bar is at LSV and going forward we need to do anything we can to give it the Old Mick Martyn bar feel for our fans and families to come along and drink with players and staff like the old times.

Wednesday night gave the BOM and our buisness manager Rob Parker a great buzz to see so many families and kids in the Legends in colours having photos and generally enjoying the pre match atmosphere together.

LSV are keen to have a strong Leigh Centurions Club playing in SL just as much if not more than we are and are impressed by our plans and ambition for the club and are buying in to us big time so we need to support the whole package which is Leigh Centurions and LSV working together to deliver for the people of Leigh and the whole community.

Any suggestions of what you would like to see going on in there (other than the obvious cheap ale) are welcome.
